Top 15 Reasons Athletes Should Be Embracing a Vegan Diet

If the average human being is a Ford Taurus, then the world-class athlete is a high performance Indy racecar. If the fuel formula that powers that racecar doesn’t match up with the engine specifications for which the fuel was designed, the engine’s optimum performance won’t be achieved. Who could argue with that?
The carnivorous-predator, blood-thirsty-for-victory, and primed-for-the-kill American omnivore athlete wouldn’t argue with it. His or her response would be, “How can a geeky, skinny, lettuce-fruit-and-nut-eating-vegetarian have any chance to compete without the meat iron and protein, steak, liver, eggs, and chops that I know is the fuel meant to power my engine?”
Simple. Because empirical evidence, deductive reasoning, and common sense proves that claim completely false.
